DJ Alex Maria has grown up on eclectic combination of funk music (James Brown, Gil Scott Heron), music from the latin jazz scene (Pedrito Martinez, Sergio Mendes) and also from the clubbing world (Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano Cadenza).
He has studied music production at the Tenax Accademy in Florence and has attended classes lead by Alex Neri, Mennie, Francesco Farfa, Matteo Zarcone, Marco Faraone.
These influences translate into sets where he puts together beautiful percussion grooves, bouncy basslines, and vocal samples, all on top of house beat.
Alex Maria lives in Florence.
