Biografia
Antonello Manca, born in Oristano on 27 February 1967, is a violinist, choir and orchestra director, composer and teacher. He studied in Milan under the guidance of maestro Felice Cusano, graduating in 1992. On 2 June 2023 he was awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. He has won numerous international composition competitions, including those of Sarteano, Vienna and Warsaw. He studied traditional and experimental composition, specializing in baroque violin and performance practice. He has composed soundtracks for various directors, participating in important international festivals. He has recorded 12 CDs and collaborated with Rai, Mediaset and Sky. He is the founder and director of various orchestras and choirs, including the "Eleonora d'Arborea" choir. Since 2014 he has been the official composer of the "Geminiani" Orchestra in London. He teaches in Italian secondary schools and is the educational and artistic director of the Civic Music School .
